Thoughts On Ferguson

MB’s death was a tragedy. He had the potential (like all other living people) to do amazing things.

That being said… a grand jury of 12 people found that there wasn’t enough evidence to indict DW on ANY charges (including manslaughter). That is the justice system at work. Upset? Don’t worry there’s still a Federal case & a civil case. Everyone should read the evidence/ information packet as soon as the Prosecutor releases it. Get the same info that the Grand Jury had, then judge…

Police officers should wear body cameras.

Rioting & looting just destroys your own community… there’s no justice in that. You don’t get to call yourself “peaceful”, talking this “hands up, don’t shoot”, only to turn around and steal from a burning Walgreens.

I’ve never been so disappointed in so many of my favorite writers as I was last night. I saw multiple people whose work I respect/ love spewing misinformed drivel, as if they didn’t even bother to listen to the press conference.

Social Media is a blessing and a curse. The same goes for the media and the 24 hour news cycle. Everybody’s quick to judge, with or without being able to back up the “facts” they share.
