Crispy Orange Chicken

Adapted from Sugar Dish Me

 

Chicken
1 ¾ lbs chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sriracha
2 cups panko bread crumbs

 

Sauce
1 tsp olive oil
3 cloves (1 ½ tsp) minced garlic
¼ cup honey
1 tbsp orange zest
¼ cup orange juice
2 tsp sriracha
½ tsp salt
Red pepper flakes
1 tbsp corn starch
½ cup chicken broth

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, grease a baking sheet

2. Put chicken into a large Ziploc bag, pour honey & sriracha over top and shake to coat

3. Add breadcrumbs to the bag and shake it again

4. Place chicken in a single layer on the baking sheet and cook for 30 minutes (or until cooked through), turning once to prevent burning

5. Add oil to a sauce pan, and cook garlic over high heat for 1 minute

6. Add honey, zest, OJ, sriracha, salt, and red pepper to saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer

7. Stir corn starch and chicken broth together, then slowly pour that into honey mixture, continuously stirring

8. Cook over medium/low heat until reduced

9. Toss cooked chicken into sauce and serve
