Peanut Butter Frosted Brownies

Brownies
1 cup unsalted butter
4 oz baking chocolate, chopped
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 ¼ cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 ½ cups chocolate chips

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F, line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper
  2. Melt butter and baking chocolate, add vanilla and stir until smooth, cool to room temp
  3. In a large bowl whisk sugar and eggs until combined, and then whisk in the butter mixture
  4. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and spread mixture into prepared pan
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out mostly clean
  7. Cool slightly and top with PB frosting (recipe below)

Frosting Layer
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 cup peanut butter
2/3 cup powdered sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth
  2. Spread over baked brownies
