Apple Cinnamon Infused Bourbon

300g dried apples
4 cinnamon sticks
4 pints bourbon
4 pint sized mason jars,

  1. Divide the apples evenly into the four jars
  2. Add a cinnamon stick to each
  3. Pour bourbon over the apples to the neck of the jar. Cover tightly
  4. Store in a cool, dark place and shake once a day for 3-5 days
  5. Strain through a fine mesh strainer, and press the apples to get all the juice/ bourbon out
  6. For clearer bourbon, strain again through cheesecloth to get all the smallest pieces of apple
  7. Package in clean glass bottles
