Bourbon & Bacon Mixed Nuts

Adapted from Cooking on the Front Burner

1 ¼ cup light brown sugar
½ cup Wild Turkey American Honey
7 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
½ tablespoon salt
4 ½ cups mixed nuts (I used Pecans, Walnuts, and Almonds)
+/- 2 teaspoon pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, line a baking sheet with foil & spray with cooking spray
  2. Combine light brown sugar, Wild Turkey, bacon, and salt in a sauce pan
  3. Bring mixture to boil, then simmer for 5 minutes (stir often)
  4. Add nuts to mixture and stir to coat
  5. Spread on the prepared cookie sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, stirring once halfway through
  6. Remove from oven, spread onto another piece of foil and cool completely
